Kim Cattrall, this is what the TV powers that be think a younger Samantha Jones woulda looked like.

The up-and-comer has nabbed the coveted part of one of Carrie Bradshaw’s besties on the The CW’s The Carrie Diaries, which stars AnnaSophia Robb as the shoegal before she was the shoegal.

The pair is expected to meet rather surprisingly in a rockin’ setting, for Samantha will be quite the (young) power player of the 1980s New York City of the show.

The Carrie Diaries’ second season will debut at the end of October.

And, btw, Gort has a part in next month’s 2 Guns.
