The I Give It a Year actress is in talks to join Oscar nominee Quvenzhané Wallis in the remake of Annie co-starring Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz.
Byrne would play the dutiful assistant to Foxx’s Daddy Warbucks-esque character, Benjamin Stacks.
The Jay-Z-produced, Will Gluck-directed musical is due out Christmas 2014.
