Vladimir Putin has all but declared war on his own LGBT people – heck, that of the world – by signing into law a bill banning what his government perceives to be the promotion of a “homosexual propaganda” among minors.
He also has signed into law a bill that will keep foreign gay couples from adopting from Russia. To be...uh...somewhat fair when it comes to this bit, though, the ban also includes single and unmarried foreigners.
Oh, Putin....
Not one to take this kind of s--- sitting down, that icon of independent forward thinking Tilda Swinton took herself to the Kremlin, gay flag in hand, and stood up for her beliefs and for LGBT people everywhere and, especially, for those in Russia.
Her agent posted the pic at right online yesterday with this simple message from the actress: “In solidarity. From Russia with love.”
