Indeed, the mastermind of the adventures of Harry Potter is the one behind the critically adored detective novel .
Rowling obviously figured that going with a pseudonym was the best way to go in order to give the book a fair shake, and the gambit – confirmed by her publicist – seems to have paid off since the story was able to be judged on its own merits, without the tint of who wrote it.
