Matthew Macfadyen is stepping behind the camera on camera.

The Pride & Prejudice star is taking over a part that was originally Ethan Hawke’s to star in Epic, the story of a mentally unstable director invited by the president of the Autonomous Republic of Karastan to helm an epic film set in the 14th century about the country’s heroic founder.

WTF is Karastan?

Nowhere! It’s fictitious.

Macfadyen will play opposite MyAnna Buring, her co-star in the BBC’s Ripper Street.
