Here, Here, Here to Stay

I don’t often say this, but I agree with Perez Hilton: Phillip Phillips is the real thing.

Oh, and the latest American Idol is going nowhere.

Now, here I was wondering if dude was serious with that name. Guess he is – and, you know what: the name is growing on me.

Last summer, Phillips had a major breakthrough when the Mumford & Sons-esque “Home,” his American Idol crowning song, became the unofficial anthem of the London Olympics, and now the guy has gone and dropped another single that is sure to be a hit.

It already is with me, yo.

Goodness, huh. I gotta say I do enjoy me a torch song, especially one with heartfelt-sung lyrics about love and love lost.
