Indeed, the Looper star has signed on to join the Robert Rodriguez/Frank Miller movie, as Johnny, a new character who will play a significant part in the stylish noir’s intersecting stories.
Btw, the powers that be reportedly offered the role to that most famous Johnny of them all at first: the one by the last name Depp.
Anyway, Gordon-Levitt joins members of the original Sin City ensemble like Jessica Alba, Clive Owen, Mickey Rourke, and Rosario Dawson in the sequel, as well as newcomer Dennis Haysbert (TV’s 24). Josh Brolin is also supposedly being considered to join the project, which should give him reason to be...happy.
