Oscar winner Cuba Gooding Jr. is headed to the Great White Way, alongside Cicely Tyson and Vanessa Williams.
Indeed, the Jerry Maguire star will make his Broadway debut in a revival of The Trip to Bountiful this spring. The Horton Foote classic tells the story of an elderly woman who dreams of returning to her Texas hometown before she dies, against the wishes of her overprotective son and domineering daughter-in-law, and chronicles her life-affirming against-all journey back to there.
The limited-engagement show is set to begin previews on March 31 for an April 23 opening.
