Meryl Streep is gonna be at it again soon.
At what?
My, at working on an awards-bait-y prestige project. And at working with her former co-star Robert De Niro.
La Streep is eyeing the starring role in the Michael (The Hours) Cunningham adaptation of Ann Leary’s best-selling The Good House, the story of an alcoholic woman who, a year after a family intervention, is in the midst of trying to protect a younger woman who has arrived in her Massachusetts town.
A director has yet to be hired for this one, so the actress might be able to segue into it after working with Jeff Bridges on the dystopian-future fantasy The Giver.
Up next for Oscar’s favorite actress is August: Osage County this holiday season.
