Games of Thrones star Kit Harington, a.k.a. the indomitable Jon Snow on the hit HBO show, is starting to leave his mark on the silver screen, and for his biggest showcase yet the actor has left Westeros and headed for Pompeii.

The Brit is starring in the upcoming romantic disaster movie directed by Paul W.S. Anderson (Resident Evil) as a slave-turned-gladiator stuck on a ship, dying to get to Pompeii in time to save both his BFF, a fellow gladiator who is trapped in the coliseum, as well as his one true love (Emily Browning), the daughter of his master.
Kiefer Sutherland plays an evil senator in the 3-D extravaganza, which is obviously about Mount Vesuvius...and Harington’s undeniable rippedliciousness.
The abstastic Pompeii is due out next February.
