Laura Prepon’s Staging a Prison Break

No doubt about it, Netflix’s Orange Is the New Black was the hit of the summer.

I mean, I got some of my best traffic up in here when I reported in my own style last month that Taryn Manning had been promoted to series regular for next year’s sophomore outing.

So now I am anticipating like, double the numbers ’cause – Whoa Alert! – Laura Prepon is leaving the show.

The actress, who plays Alex, Piper’s (Taylor Schilling) former lover/current fellow inmate on the dramedy, will return for Season 2, but only to wrap up her storyline.

The door will be left wide open for her to return later on, though.
