A great void will be left hard to fill after the next season of TV’s Grey’s Anatomy now that original cast member and Golden Globe winner Sandra Oh has decided to – gulp! – leave the show once Season 10 is over.
“It’s been a great privilege to play Cristina Yang and I am both sad and excited to see where this, her final season, will take her,” the Emmy-nominated actress said in a statement of her decision to bounce, which sounds like it wasn’t taken lightly or made in a vacuum.
Indeed, the show’s creator, Shonda Rhimes, has recognized the actress as a game changer, for she “forever changed the course of Grey’s Anatomy [back when it was just getting off the ground in the mid-2000s] with her brilliant, nuanced portrayal.
“We’re going to give her the exit she deserves.”

Alright, so again I will ask: What will Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) do? Cristina is her person!
