The True Blood star has nabbed the part of Capt. von Trapp on NBC’s planned live broadcast of The Sound of Music starring Carrie Underwood as Maria.
I didn’t know this was gonna be live!
Bet the actor’s recent stint as Chicago’s Billy Flynn at the Hollywood Bowl was a smart move on his part...a good rehearsal for the trappings of performing in front of an audience.
The Peacock’s three-hour Sound of Music is set for Dec. 5.
