The 29-year-old actor, a former Disney star who played Det. Barry Frost on the cabler’s summer favorite, reportedly committed suicide. He was found by his landlord after he failed to show up for work this morning.
“Everyone at Rizzoli & Isles is devastated by [this],” producers said in a statement this afternoon. “We are beyond heartbroken at the loss of this sweet, gentle, good-hearted, intelligent man. Lee will be cherished and remembered by all who knew and loved him, both on- and off-screen, for his positive energy, infectious smile, and soulful grace.”
Production on Rizzoli & Isles has shut down for the day and a decision on how to begin to proceed will be made tomorrow.
