So far this year it has given us the brilliant House of Cards, Hemlock Grove, a solid fourth season of Arrested Development, and The Fall, starring Gillian Anderson.
It’s quite an accomplished slate for a freshman player in the original-programming game – and the streamer ain’t even done yet.
Coming up on July 11 is Orange Is the New Black, a new 13-episode dramedy co-created by Jenji Kohan, the woman behind Showtime’s Weeds.
Starring Taylor Schilling (The Lucky One), the show is based on Piper Kerman’s eponymous 2010 prison memoir, and features Jason Biggs, Laura Prepon, and Natasha Lyonne.
