It’s all about dueling actors playing the same part in dueling projects now.
As is the case with Evan Peters (FX’s American Horror Story) sharing the honor of playing the Marvel character Quicksilver with, potentially, Savages’ Aaron Taylor-Johnson.
Yes, the Kick-Ass 2 star is being eyed to play the super-speed-blessed mutant in the Avengers sequel (that Joss Whedon is rather determined to make with Robert Downey Jr., btw). Peters already is on board and set to portray the guy in a different movie: Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past.
I think it’s a rights thing....
