Tom Hardy really wants to fill up that IMDb page of his, huh.
Let’s see, he’s got that Everest project about climber George Mallory in the works. As well as two potential anti-poaching projects. The adaptation of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell videogame. And two films co-starring Noomi Rapace, Animal Rescue and Child 44.
That’s a lot.
Almost too much. Hardy could be pulling what Jude Law did in 2004 and what Natalie Portman tried a couple years ago. And the jury is out on how well saturating the market with your face works, although Channing Tatum made an excellent case for it last year.
Anyway, Hardy is going to star in The Outsider, too. The story of a former American G.I. in post-World War II Japan who then joins the yakuza, this will be the English-language debut of Japanese director Takashi Miike.
And as if that weren’t enough, the actor is also circling Rocketman, the long-gestating Elton John biopic to which John himself once had attached Justin Timberlake.
Busy Brit!
