A turn in The Hunger Games came at the right time for Wes Bentley to kick off his second act.
For a while there, the American Beauty actor was plagued by addiction, a rudderless career, and the grief he felt over the passing of his friend Heath Ledger. But that was then, and this is now.
Bentley has a rejuvenated outlook on life and on his career, which includes films about Abraham Lincoln and Linda Lovelace, and, now, a new Ryan Murphy project.
It’s called Open, it’s for HBO, and it’s about human sexuality, and, in it, Bentley will play Evan, a hot and arrogant fella who will share his theories on the topic every chance he gets.
Cocky fictional mofo.
Here’s to hoping for shirtlessness.
