NBC Wants a J.J. Job

A new show from fan-favorite producer J.J. Abrams will call NBC home in 2010.

A bona fide bidding war among ABC, CBS, and NBC was declared for Abrams’ latest commodity, a new action-adventure centering on a couple of married spies (which smells of Mr. & Mrs. Smith to me).

Abrams has partnered with Josh Reims (Felicity, What About Brian) to write the one-hour thriller.

Another Abrams show, a half-hour medical comedy, recently went to Fox.

I’m not sure it is, but I sure hope that’s the long-in-the-works vehicle he was said to be preparing for Cheri Oteri (TV’s SNL).
