I’m worried about Betty Suarez.

ABC announced yesterday that Ugly Betty’s fourth season will now premiere on Oct. 16 instead of Oct. 9 as originally reported.

Now, I know most of the cast will be in...actually, is in the Bahamas this weekend shooting an episode that will air in November, so they may be unavailable to promote the show early next week, but still: combine this news with the fact that Ugly Betty now has a kiss-of-death Friday-night time slot, and smell the hot-off-the-press Mode.

This season’s do or die for the show.

So watch the two-hour premiere on Oct. 16 because, “This…[signaling with all five fingers, Amanda-style] needn’t be it for Ugly Betty!”
