U.N.C.L.E. Man No More

So. It looks like Tom Cruise will not be the Man from U.N.C.L.E. after all – he’s got a fifth Mission: Impossible to take on.

Indeed, since the actor is putting on a fifth time as Ethan Hunt (yippee!), Cruise has had to bow out of starring in the long-gestating Guy Ritchie-directed adaptation of the 1960s NBC show.

Cruise is a producer on the forthcoming fifthquel, so, ya know...bee-say. He has to prep the thing, find a director, etc.

Lone Ranger star Armie Hammer, who joined the U.N.C.L.E. project last month, remains attached to it, though.

Perhaps they should let him have it. Or give it to Jon Hamm? Just spitballin’ here.
