The Indie Wife

I understand that Zach Braff recently pulled a Veronica Mars and launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fund his new project Wish I Was There to some controversy but also to great success (folks responded with a passion and helped him exceed his $2 million goal within days and by almost $700,000 and counting...for the next couple of days).

Another area in which the guy hasn’t had any trouble is casting.

He already had Anna Kendrick, Jim Parsons, and Josh Gad (TV’s 1600 Penn) on board the project – the story of a 35-yeard-old husband, father, and struggling actor who decides he’s gonna home school his kids after his father (Mandy Patinkin) stops paying for their tuition – and, now, he has scored his biggest name yet.

Kate Hudson is joining Braff’s new film, as his wife.

Good goin’, Zach.
