Anita Bryant was a bit of a hateful woman, wasn’t she – which is why I am happy that Uma Thurman’s gonna play her.

Not since the Kill Bill films has Thurman found something meaty to sink her teeth into, so this should do the trick.

Kudos to Lovelace filmmakers Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman for thinking of her to play the former Miss Oklahoma-turned-OJ spokesperson-turned-1970s crusader against gay rights. I think Thurman has the necessary range for it.

And, hey, if anything, this film will give us a chance to see the actress handle getting some pie in her face.
