Friday Night Lights will premiere its fourth season on NBC early next month, but the powers that be are already looking ahead at the show’s fifth season.

Producers have recruited newcomer Grey Damon to play Hastings Ruckle, a sexy, laidback basketball player who ends up joining the East Dillon Lions (Coach Taylor’s new team) as a wide receiver.

The character possesses a “dark, hippie, party-guy vibe, and kids, especially girls, gravitate to him because he seems not to care too much.”

Production on the underwatched and undercelebrate show’s fifth (and likely final) season is now underway in Austin, Texas.
