Do Something, Daniel Craig!

Crushing news, James Bond fans: the tentatively titled Bond 23, the next sequel in the series, is on
indefinite hold due to MGM’s financial troubles.

“We do not know when development will resume and do not have a date for the release of [the movie],” producers said.

The project reportedly didn’t have a director set for the job yet (so much for that,
Sam Mendes), but three writers had been working on a script. And the franchise’s current star, Daniel Craig, was totally expecting to get back to work later this year.

Mmm…maybe now he can call up his Layer Cake director Matthew Vaughn (Kick-Ass) and ask him if there’s any truth to the rumor I heard recently, the one about Vaughn wanting to set a potential sequel to the 2004 hit…in Miami.
