Chace Crawford won’t be getting Footloose anymore.The actor is seating out the remake of the 1980s classic because of a scheduling conflict with his day job as Nate Archibald on The CW’s Gossip Girl, which will resume production (on its fourth season) in July, right around the time the movie is set to start principal photography.
A lucky unknown yet to be cast will now take Crawford’s place.
Julianne Hough is still in place to play the female lead.
