Kyle Chandler, the undercelebrated male lead of TV’s Friday Night Lights, reportedly has received a “very lucrative offer” he won’t be able to refuse.
The actor may headline Terra Nova, a big-budget pilot from producer Steven Spielberg for Fox about a futuristic family that travels back to a time when dinosaurs roamed free.
The show is pretty much a no-brainer, and a 13-episode order is a safe bet.
Chandler is currently shooting Friday Night Lights’ fifth and (likely) final season. The fourth is about to premiere on NBC, on May 7, and, I should trust, will bring him and Connie Britton some Emmy love at long last.

Update: Speaking of Friday Night Lights cast members, show alumnus Scott Porter will reprise his role as former QB1 Jason Street for one episode of Season 5.
The actor, who in February appeared with Alexis Bledel in the blink-and-you-miss-it movie The Good Guy, is also working on a pilot for The CW called Nomads.
