First up we have Penélope Cruz.
Cruz is a beautiful, Spanish, Oscar-winning actress who – OK, if you haven’t picked up on the objectifying, pageant-y way I’m giving you this news you are a big silly.
Anyway, the actress – who is currently pregnant with her second baby with husband Javier Bardem, the villain from the last Bond movie, Skyfall – is only said to be attached to the next 007 film at this time, and she’s already a, say, controversial (for lack of a better word) choice.
Why? Because of her age.
Cruz would be 42 by the time Daniel Craig dashes onto the screen as the spy once more, which would make her the oldest Bond girl evah.
So what, who cares! Penélope Cruz is f---in’ gorgeous and sexy as hell. I really don’t see what the fuss is about.
If anything, I am more concerned with what an obvious pick she’d be, given her stature as an international star. Meaning I wish the powers that be would go in a totally unexpected direction, with someone like Chloë Sevigny, for instance.
But I guess old lady Cruz – ha! – would be unexpected, too.
