Seriously, though, Elgort has lined up the starring role in Van Cliburn, the story of a piano prodigy from Texas who has been hailed as the man who bridged the Cold War gap between America and Russia when he won the 1958 Tchaikovsky International Piano Competition at age 23.
The actor – an alumnus of LaGuardia High, a.k.a. the Fame school – is expected to do all his piano-playing stunts himself.
