More of Maleficent Coming Right Up?

Naturally.

Naturally – given its almost $171 million tally at the global box office last weekend – chitchat of a sequel to Maleficent would produce itself this week, sort of like the opposite of magically.

Meaning, well...naturally.

Angelina Jolie was at the forefront of this kind o talk yesterday when she met up with a bunch of press in Shanghai (her blockbuster is scheduled to open in China on June 20) and hinted that she would and might be getting all horn-y for the role again soon.

“It’s kind of hard to top her, she was pretty fun,” the actress told the Chinese press corps when asked what’s next for her (other than her second directorial effort, Unbroken, this winter)“Maybe I’ll get the chance to play her again.

Obviously. Because sequels are lucrative, and folks have responded in droves to this retelling of a classic tale (to the tune of $70 million in opening-weekend tickets in North America alone).

But, seriously – we shall wait and see.
