Out of View

Looks like the Jenny McCarthy era on The View would be a short one.

And like Sherri Shepherd’s is over, too, for that matter.

It happened late last Thursday: Shepherd suprise-announced, to the shock of her fans and even her old co-host and friend, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, that she is leaving the TV chatfest that Barbara Walters created...soon – reportedly because her camp and the show’s just couldn’t strike a new deal for her return – with McCarthy tweeting out (like, a couple of hours later) that, “If Sherri goes... I go too. #sisters.”

In case you are wondering, The View did not tweet her back asking her to stay and not leave the show after less than a year on the job.

Uh...#awkward.

Now only Whoopi Goldberg remains (so far), presumably ready to break in a new group of talkers as “The View [moves] in an exciting new direction next season.”
