Sporting Insider

For months now, I have posited that Will Smith wants to pull a McConaughey, that he really wants to serious up his career.

You know, by working on films that are awards-friendly think pieces.

Smith may have just found one such project in this in-the-works Ridley Scott-produced untitled drama about concussions in the NFL based on Game Brain, a 2009 GQ article that explored the subject.

The two-time Oscar nominee would play a character based on the real-life insider – a forensic neuropathologist – who blew the whistle on how dangerous and dangerously overlooked these injuries were/are in the game.
