The Black Canary Will Take Flight

It’s a TV moment three seasons in the making.

This winter, Katie Cassidy will turn into the Black Canary on TV’s Arrow.

Oh yeah. The actress’ character, Laurel Lance, will finally suit up to – Spoiler Alert! – avenge the murder of her sister, League of Assassins member Sara (Caity Lotz), and thus become a partner in justice-serving to Stephen Amell’s Arrow.

That is, of course, once she quenches that thirst for revenge that will probably cost her in some way or another during those first few eps on which she gets her superhero on and whatnot.

You can expect to see Cassidy as the Black Canary once Arrow returns from its winter hiatus in January.
