It may be a sign that things are getting better for LGBT actors when a maybe-bi dude can land a plum part in a major blockbuster franchise.
Not that I honestly feel that way – it’s just that I simply know that someone’s gonna say just that (that is, of course, if they haven’t already).
Either way, Brenton Thwaites has been tapped for a role in the fifthquel Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. The young Aussie will play a Will Turner-type (Will Turner was the character that Orlando Bloom – who might be back for another go – portrayed in the first three movies).
Someone is totally happening these days....
