Now, this is exciting….Weeds cutie-patootie Hunter Parrish could have just snagged his breakout part as Peeta Mellark, the male lead of the highly anticipated big-screen adaptation of The Hunger Games.
“I’ve met the producers,” the young, hunky up-and-comer said. “I’d be grateful to get the opportunity. Like, really grateful. It would be amazing.”
Hear, hear.
No word yet on who will play director Gary Ross’ Katniss Everdeen, although several names have been mentioned recently, among them leading contenders Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit), Jennifer Lawrence (Winter’s Bone), Abigail Breslin, Saoirse Ronan, Emma Roberts, and Lyndsy Fonseca (TV’s Nikita).
