The Thirties in L.A.

The 2016 Cannes Film Festival is about to kick things off, so you probably should learn just a little bit about the film that will open the swanky festivities, Woody Allen’s Café Society, starring Jesse Eisenberg, Kristen Stewart, and Blake Lively, among others.

A Los Angeles-set period romp set in and around 1930s Hollywood, the film will follow Eisenberg’s Allen-esque character as he arrives in Tinseltown and begins navigating society under the tutelage of his uncle (Steve Carell).

A tale of unrequited love – and lively distractions – ensues. Plus, Corey Stoll is also featured, so...nice! Check out the film’s trailer now:

Café Society is due out in theaters on Aug. 12 July 15, limited-release-style, before going wide at the of July.
