Five-time Emmy winner Doris Roberts has died.
The actress was 90. Her son, Michael Cannata, reportedly has confirmed that Roberts passed of natural causes in her sleep last night.
Roberts, perhaps best known in her dotage for her part on TV’s Everybody Loves Raymond, won her first Emmy in 1983, for her turn on St. Elsewhere.
An accomplished performer, her career also took her to the movies – popping up in fare such as No Way to Treat a Lady, Little Murders, and The Taking of Pelham One Two Three – and the stage on Broadway and beyond.
