Uggie, the four-legged scene-stealer from the Oscar-winning film The Artist, has died. The Jack Russell, a part-time model in his later years, was 13.
The Palm Dog Award-winning star-pooch was put to sleep on Aug. 7, after a battle with a prostate illness.

Update: Reese Witherspoon, Uggie’s leading lady in Water for Elephants, has come outta the gate leading the Hollywood contingent remembering the woofer.
“RIP to my canine friend Uggie,” the Hot Pursuiter Instagrammed. “What a special, sweet soul.”
