Avengers: Age of Ultron’s Cobie Smulders has been tapped to join Tom Cruise in his upcoming Jack Reacher sequel.
Ed Zwick will helm the project, taking over for Christopher McQuarrie, who just directed the Cruiseter in Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation.
This time around the story will follow the plot of author Lee Child’s Never Go Back, in which Reacher travels to the U.S Military Police Corps HQ only to find that his commanding officer has been arrested.
