Debbie’s Big Oscar Date

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced this week that Do the Right Thing Academy Award nominee Spike Lee, Debbie Reynolds (The Unsinkable Molly Brown), and Gena Rowlands (Gloria, A Woman Under the Influence) will be honored at the seventh annual Governors Awards on Nov. 14.

Oh, yeah...#HonoraryOscars Alert!

Reynolds will receive the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award for her work as a founding member and president for more than six decades of the Thalians, a charitable organization that promotes awareness and treatment of mental health issues.
