Tom Ford is doing it again: He’s assembling quite the cast for his next directorial effort.
The project is Nocturnal Animals, and it’s led by Jake Gyllenhaal and Amy Adams. Godzilla’s Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s on board, too, as is Michael Shannon (99 Homes).
And now, so is Kim Basinger.
Yes! Yes, yes. Sorry, Grudge Match, but this is the kind of s--- the Oscar winner deserves (too bad she just got all that face work done, though...but, if it makes her happy...).
Basinger will play a wealthy sociality from Texas and the mother of Adams’ character in the adaptation of an Austin Wright book o.k.a. Tony and Susan, the story of a woman who one day receives a book manuscript from her ex of 20 years that’s accompanied by a note asking for her critique. The project then tracks two narratives: that of the manuscript and that of Susan’s, who starts thinking about her first husband and confronting some dark truths about herself.
The Gyllen-yum’s character is somehow connected to this by seeing his family vacation turn violent.
