This fall, director Alejandro González Iñárritu is helping Michael Keaton mount a comeback as an actor mounting a comeback.
That, in essence, is the plot of the Biutiful director’s Birdman, a dark comedy about a once-famous star who could never shake the superhero-character he once played and is now, many years later, trying to awaken his dormant career with a turn on Broadway.
Zach Galifianakis, Edward Norton, Oblivion’s Andrea Riseborough, Amy Ryan, Emma Stone, and Naomi Watts co-star.
Birdman is opening on Oct. 17.
