Following the news from last week that model-turning-actress Suki Waterhouse has joined the follow-up to Divergent comes word that Naomi Watts is also boarding the 2015 sequel.
The Impossible Oscar nominee reportedly will be playing Evelyn, the leader of the Factionless and the estranged mother of Theo James’ Four. Her character will be featured in the two-part Allegiant final chapter of the franchise based on the Veronica Roth young-adult books as well.
Also (and how did I ever miss this one?!), Octavia Spencer (The Help) will portray Johanna, the leader of Amity.
Insurgent is due in theaters next March.
