Is It Meow Time?

Emily Blunt is getting high marks for her butt-kicking good work in Edge of Tomorrow – so, naturally, she would get to be rumored for bigger, blockbusterier things.

Like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

You know...the Man of Steel sequel.

Evidently, Blunt is said to be in the running to play Catwoman in the project, which already features Superman and the Caped Crusader (duh) and their immediate circle, not to mention Lex Luthor, Wonder Woman, and Cyborg, and, maybe, even Aquaman (conventional Internet speculators think that that’s who Jason Momoa has been hired to portray).

But back to Blunt.

She would make a interesting choice for Catwoman. We know, from The Devil Wears Prada, that she can play catty (ha!), and if you saw her holding her own opposite Tom Cruise this past weekend, then you know she can do action, too.

Then again, this rumor just might prove too good to be true, for it also included word that Tom Hiddleston is being considered for a possible Joker part – which like, cannot happen, since he is Marvel’s Loki (and playing Batman’s signature enemy would be tantamount to treason to his Avenger cohort).

And so the waiting game on this one begins.
