Did you give your regards to Broadway tonight?
Because it was quite a Hugh Jackman-hosted night! Oh, yes it was.
See, the Meryl Streep of the Great White Way, Audra McDonald, did it: She won her sixth Tony Award, for her turn as Billie Holiday on Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill.
Meanwhile, Neil Patrick Harris went one for one when he picked up his first Tony – on his first nomination – for his work in Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
Click here for a complete list of winners, which include A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder (Best Musical), Best Revival of a Musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch (A Raisin in the Sun received the Best Revival of a Play honors), and All the Way (Best Play; its Bryan Cranston took Best Actor in a Play).
