Alright, snap judgment time while watching Britney Spears’ video for “Work Bitch”: She is turning into Mariah Carey.

No, girlfriend is not singing the s--- out her songs at last – she’s kinda just standing there posing in her new clip.

Which is a shame because the song is a pulsating high-energy good time.

The hair is blond and extended, the boobs are out up to here, the hot bod’s there.

But where’s Britney’s soul? Her sense of playfulness? She’s in a high-glam desert setting (that hints at and then openly reminds us of her upcoming Vegas residency), but I am not getting It. (I am getting the reference to Madonna’s “Human Nature” (by way of the glossiest Vogue shoot ever), though.

And it’s making me lose my musical boner for the pop tart’s upcoming eighth album (OK, just a little).
