A Better Life Oscar nominee Demián Bichir, whom you may now know better from his starry turn on FX’s The Bridge, is going to step behind the camera to make his directorial debut.

And he has snagged himself quite the fetching leading lady.

Eva Longoria has agreed to star in Refugio for Bichir.

The project, which is already shooting in Mexico City, centers on a young dreamer born into a circus who embarks on quest to find his long-lost true love. The titular Refugio will be played by a number of actors at various stages of his life, including Jose Angel Bichir (the actor’s nephew) and Bichir himself.

Longoria portrays a horse acrobat who runs off to join the circus to mend a broken heart.
