Sony reportedly is considering dropping the embattled producer from its roster in the wake of his Kesha scandal – for lack of a better way to put it. His camp denies it, of course.
Kesha, in case you didn’t know, has accused Dr. Luke of being emotionally, physically, and sexually abusive toward her, and of threatening to ruin her career during the time they worked together. Last month, her request for a preliminary injunction that would have essentially freed her from him professionally was denied, thus keeping her attached to him until the terms of their contracts together are met.
The decision showered Kesha with an outpour of industry support (GTS – especially what Kelly Clarkson has had to say regarding the matter), and, obviously, did not ensure ultimate victory for Dr. Luke. I mean, just look at what he’s dealing with now.
Guess he made his bed, right?
