R.I.P. Mr. President

Actor Ken Howard, the president of SAG-AFTRA (you know, the organization that represents actors and puts on the annual Screen Actors Guild Awards) has died. He was 71.

An Emmy and Tony winner, Howard is best known for his turn on TV’s Emmy-nominated groundbreaker The White Shadow. His more recent credits include Joy and TV’s 30 Rock.

A beloved figure in Hollywood, Howard is being remembered by the likes of George Clooney, B.J. Novak, Aaron Paul, and many more.

Gabrielle Carteris (you know, Andrea, from TV’s Beverly Hills, 90210) is serving as SAG-AFTRA’s acting president in the wake of the sad news.
