Stage Mom

Next time Jason Bateman directs a feature, he’s gonna have an Oscar winner for a leading lady.

Nicole Kidman is set to star in the multi-hyphenate’s follow-up to Bad Words, The Family Fang (which also will co-star, well…him).

Rabbit Hole writer David Lindsay-Abaire – with whose work Kidman is quite familiar (to the tune of an Oscar nom) is behind the script, which centers on a pair of performance artists who used to make it a habit of getting their young children involved in events of the bizarre sort.

Later on, when their grown kids return home in a crisis, their folks, of course, sucker them into one final show.

Confrontations over ’em ordeals arise.
